Learn how to write proposals that help you to secure grant fund-ing for your not-for-profit organisation or small business. If you're part of a not-for-profit organisation or run a small business, grants can be a great funding source and help you to continue carrying out and expanding the important work you do. The challenge is standing out when you're up against many others competing after the same pool of funds. Presented by Kerrie Woodrow from Multicultural Australia, in conjunction with Queensland Small Business Month (QSBM), this Grant Writing workshop will help you learn about the different types of grants available to you and how to approach and write proposals so you're setting yourself apart as a deserving recipient.

What you will learn at this workshop:

  • Grants in Australia and how to find out who will fund what?
  • How to identify community needs and whether funding is needed
  • How to develop your projects’ aim and objectives
  • How to develop a project plan and budget
  • How to respond to key questions of the application form
